Error 103: Target power failure: Measured 1.100000V
Hi. I just got my Primer2, and I get the above message when trying to run Circle_Mgr The device is fully charged (green light's on), and everything seems to run fine on it (the games, etc). But I can't communicate with it from my PC! (Plain old Windows XP).
Also, if I unplug it from the USB port, and then immediately plug it back in, the green light goes out, and the red one comes on. And it takes a few minutes to get the green light back on. That doesn't seem to make sense for being unplugged for just a few seconds.
I see this error has come up for some other people too. What's going on? The device is unusable for development, of course.

Quite strange. This error means that RLink detects a wong voltage for the STM32. On the other hand, if the game work properly, the STM32 voltage is correct... (it couldn't work at 1.1V).
The behaviour of the LEDs (charger status) is correct. When you plug/unplug, the charger starts a charging sequence.
The voltage is measured on a two resistor bridge. It could be that one of these resistors is wrong, but the STM32 FLASH had been loaded - and tested- at the factory...
Try to update RIDE+KitARK.. If it does not work, we'll see how to replace it.

Thanks. I'll do that. I assume you mean to download the latest Ride version. But I don't know what KitArk is (I just got this thing so I'm not up to sped). What is it?

I've tried to download that, but it requires you to log in, and it keeps saying "Logon refused". I asked for a new password (though the old one used to work), and it says it sent it, but no email showed up. So then I also re-registered with another email address, and it sais it sent an email there, but still nothing. Is anybody home at Raisonance? I got a second unit, which doesn't seem to have the battery problem), but I still get the same 103 error when trying to run Circle.Mgr.
I'd reeeeeally like to try this device out, but it's getting frustrating with the lack of support. Okay, I'm done whining now...
This site is where people submit logins/passwords to site they don't need/use. it's a really nice feature when sites make you register for no reason. (except to spam your email?)
Now, your problem IS because of outdated Ride7. I had exact same problem. Make sure to update ride7 + armkit for it and then connect debug USB port and keep primer2 on.

Thanks. That's a GREAT idea (having those logons available). Unfortunately, I get "Logon Refused" for the three that were on the site. Maybe Raisonance is just down for a while? The site seems to function otherwise.
That's also good to know that you had the same error, and the the latest Ride fixed it. Now, if I could just GET a copy!

Sigh... no. As recommended, I de-installed Ride and RKit, downloaded the new ones, reinstalled them, and got the same error (with a new copyright line in the output text, so I know I'm running the new code).
So I think I've had enough. I've asked for a refund from the vendor (Future Electronics). Let's hope that goes well.

I have found the same problem using RLink with JTAG/SWD adapter and STM32F4-Discovery board. In my case the error message said : Target Power Failure : Measured 4.90000V.
Does anyone know the pinout for this adapter ( JTAG option ) or some clue about it ( Target Power Failure Error) ?
You probably connected the wrong pin to the Discovery board. Ride 7.50.14.0185 and RKit-ARM 1.54.14.0185 are supporting the STLink v.2 then you can install these new versions (http://support-raisonance.com/extranet/ … ool__id__7).
Rlink is supporting more MCUs than the STLink but in your case you can connect the STLink to the Discovery board (don't need custom connection) instead of the Rlink.
