First you need to install software (Ride IDE and ARM Toolkit). If you want to intall MP3Player to the Primer2, go to the Lib_XXX_add_to_circle subfolder and launch the add_to_circle.bat file. Make sure you connected (using Debug port - you will see red ligt near joystick) and turned on your device.

Re: how to use the code (project: MP3 Player 1.01)

Hello,

After connecting a USB cable to DEBUG, I see the LED near the joystick glow for a second and then it turns off. Now, I switch the Primer ON. And I launch the BAT file as suggested as below. It shows the following:

Connecting to RLink... OK
Connecing to target...
Error 303 : Unable to read Id code..."

any suggestion?

Rgds,
Ankita

The Led behavior is normal at USB connection (it indicates the busy state of the embedded RLink). Did you try to restore the factory firmware, or debuging under Ride environment ?

Re: how to use the code (project: MP3 Player 1.01)

I wanted to test the MP3_Player_1.01 application.
So I did install CircleOS 3.82 on my Primer2.
Than I did add the MP3_Player to it (with add_CircleOS_application.bat).

Everything works fine, I can start the MP3_Player, browse through the SDcard, chose an MP3 or an WAV file. But when I start playing, no audio output occurs, neither on the headphone nor on the speaker. I did increase volume and enable/disable the headphone but nothing could be heared. The flying text is scrolling so I think the MP3 is playing, but whats the problem with the audio output ?
Any suggestions ?

Thanks

PS: I did additional install PlayWav1.1 and there the audio output works, so the MP3_Player_1.01 seems not to be functional. However it is not a hardware problem.

Hello,

Did you use the application for library 3.10??

Can you try downgrade to circel_os 3.80 or use the unoffical embedded 3.72?

Yes, I did use the application for library 3.10 from path:
MP3_Player\LIB_3.10_add_to_Circle\MP3_Player_Lib.lib

The only circel_os other than 3.82 I did found on http://www.stm32circle.com/projects was a circle_os 3.7.
After I installed this, it went out to be a circle_os 3.71.
However I did add PlayWav and MP3_Player.
PlayWav works while MP3_Player crashes immediately after having selected a MP3 file to be played. So no flying text occur and my primer finally hung up until I disconnected the battery via JP3.

Re: how to use the code (project: MP3 Player 1.01)

Hello,

In the MP3 zip file there is a 3.72 (non offical)

It must work with that... else try another SD card or some other MP3 songs...

Hi,

I confirm that the 3.1 version of MP3 player is running with latest CircleOS versions.
