Loader - Waiting for command

Hi

I have just received my first EvoPrimer (an STM3210CPRIM) and I cannot get past the startup screen "Welcome to Open4! Loader Utility Version 1.0.1  Waiting for command"

I have tried a number of power cycles and reseating of the target board.

If I try and communicate with it from using Circle_Mgr it seems that it can communicate with "RLink" but not with the target. (see below)

Any suggestions appreciated.

Many thanks
Colin

Re: Loader - Waiting for command

Hi,

This message indicates that the base does not recognize the target board, and starts in "update" mode. Verify that the board is correctly plugged into the base.

Take a look at this topic :

Re: Loader - Waiting for command

Thanks. I had already looked at the topic you suggested.  As I mentioned in my post I have reseated the target board a number of times.  This has not helped.  Is there anything else you can suggest?

Also, can you tell me if there are there any "smarts" on the base board?  I had a quick look at the schematics for the base board (altough they only list up to sheet 5 of 7) and there does not appear to be anything that could be driving the display for example.  Is the display driven from the target board or something (another microcontroller?) on the base board?

Re: Loader - Waiting for command

All the features are and depend on the target board (LCD management, audio codec, USB...).
Take a look to the resources page of this website and download the User Manual.
For your problem, try to disconnect and reconnect the target board, in different positions (left or right, or not too completely plugged).
