STM CircleOS forum / SD Card doesn't work

Hello all,

I have problems with the SD Card on my Primer2.
With the preinstalled CircleOS 3.8 sometimes the SD Card Menu (local and PC/USB) works but most of the time the Primer2 just only hangs.

Are there any known issues with SD Cards or with some SD Card models?

Yes, Try another model, i had a 128mb or was it 2gb there did not work.

But there can ofcause be other problems

Meanwhile I have tried to debug and I ended up in the same while loop as you stated here

I'm using a Sandisk 2GB µSD, no SDHC.

Did you fix your problem with a smaller card? Or just another 2GB or greater card?
Which cards are normally supported?

No i think i did not come to any conclusion

But i think it could be a good programming behavior to have second way out of that while loop, some time out, but don't think that will let the card work

Maybe you could check all the initlizations of the card is done with SCK less than 400khz... that is atleast needed for normal SD card...

Are SDHC cards supported too?
