I have just ordered a primer2 to start working on a personal project. This project will require more battery power than the primer2 comes with stock. I have a 1400 mAH lithium polymer battery I'd like to add to the primer2 at some point. Has anyone replaced the on-board battery and used the charger IC with a larger battery? Is it even possible?

There are two issues:
1. The mechanical dimensions...
2. The recharge current: there are several components around the battery charger that need to be adapted to your new battery. I believe that ST provides on their web site an application note about the L6924D (how to choose the values of the components around it).
