Dead LCD

I have just received and Primer2 with LCD problems.  Initially it was erratic to during power up some times it powers up and some times it does not.  When I tried to connect it to the Ride 7 and write software, I can blink all the LED's and execute most of the demo code.  But, the LCD stopped powering up.  I even tried to load the factory code ”restore_primer2_circle_factory.bat”, but nothing is happening.  So, the question:
Do I have a bad LCD?  Is their a way to confirm that?

Thanks
AH

Re: Dead LCD

We found some LCD with problems (capacitors soldered on the flex are sometimes too close, and create some shortcuts. Perhaps you could try to put the flex/LCD with a slightly different position.

Re: Dead LCD

Could you please provide a little bit more detail, what do you mean by different position?  it will help if you can attach a drawing.

Re: Dead LCD

It is dead, no response in or outside the case.

Re: Dead LCD

Just a last question : could you check the power supplies (3V1 and 2V8) ? May be you have a problem of regulator.
