Primer2 dead after COS3.7 update

Hi everybody,
I upgraded to 3.7 with the downlowd from the resources tab. Acc to the dos-box all went ok!
But the primer is dead now. display backlight goes on but no sound + display output.
Tried it many times with hard-reset in between.
Anyone a guess?

Thanks

Re: Primer2 dead after COS3.7 update

Hi, yes it is recognized by the flasher tool and flashing works ok.
When I connect through the USB "STM32" connection the red LED is on but PC detects nothing.

Re: Primer2 dead after COS3.7 update

Did you upgrade your Primer from "Primer2_Upgrade.zip" file or from sources zip file ?
The upgrade file contains the command "Restore_Primer2_Circle_Factory.bat" that loads CircleOS + applications.
The command "Program_Primer2_CircleOS_only.bat" loads only CircleOS.
Did you try these two commands ?

Hello,

I also once got that reply, can't remember the reason, but be sure to have the latest circle_mgr.exe

Re: Primer2 dead after COS3.7 update

ok, after deinstall of all, register at raisonance, install of Ride7 and RKit-ARM, the device ID is no problem anymore. I successfully flashed COS 3.7 and it worked. Many Thanks for hint.
Perhaps Rai is reading this: they should include the new circle_mgr.exe in the update-zip.

I then tried to update another Primer2:
- the second primer is not recognized: in the device manager I got a "RLinkWinUSBClass" device with a yellow sign...
- a "reinstall driver" produces:
http://www.ptp-images.com/mini/rckpc0b7a3.jpg

- connecting the first primer again a device called "Jungo" with "RLink USB" can be seen

This looks to me as if the RLink driver is locked to a kind of serial number of the internal dongle.

Do you know how to work with more than one primer?

Thanks

Re: Primer2 dead after COS3.7 update

There are some possibilities to select a Primer with its serial number, but I don't think that it is implemented in Circle_mgr.
For debugging, when a session is started with one Primer, you can start (from another RIDE) another session and it will drive another Primer (if any).
