Undo function crippled in Ride7

I just notice, to my extreme displeasure, a completely unwanted "feature" in Ride7. In short, when you save a file, Ride7 erases your undo history. I've looked, but the preferences menu is short on, well, preferences, and there doesn't seem to be any way to turn this off. Can someone comment? I can't believe that anyone in their right mind would want to have their undo history erased, so I must not be the only one.

What are the work-arounds? Aside from not using Ride7, I mean, which would be a shame. However, if compiling is going to make me lose my undo history, I will have to give up on Ride7, as I'm not prepared for that amount of mental punishment and self-flagellation. Which is a shame, because the Primer project is so brilliantly well-done, and Ride7 has a very nice look and feel to it.
