Primer2 Factory restore problem?

Hello,

I was playing around with my primer2 and somehow I disabled the LCD and/or its backlight.

Now, I want to do something with the display.

I've tried to restore the original CircleOS:

C:\Programme\Raisonance\Ride\Lib\ARM\CircleOS>Restore_Primer2_Circle_Factory.bat
!!! WARNING: This will program the original code into the STM32-Primer2. !!!
!!!      All applications currently loaded will be erased.               !!!
Press Ctrl-C to abort.

There was no error message, but still, I don't get the welcome-sound an the display stays off sad

Any Idea what I'm missing here?

Re: Primer2 Factory restore problem?

It could be that your U17 (the 3.1V regulator that powers the backlight+loud-speaker) is dead. Could you check the output voltage of U17 (you can find on L3, the inductance that is close to the battery jumper). If the problem is there I will contact you by mail to see how to proceed.

Re: Primer2 Factory restore problem?

problem solved:

we accidentally used a 5V CAN Transceiver.
After replacing both, the CAN IC and the voltage regulator, the problem was gone.

Thanks for the help!
