CIRCLE.RPRJ: after unpacking I load Circle.rprj. This give an error

and "Make Poject". Build fails with this error messge:

PRIMER2_CIRCLE.RPRJ: after a list of these errors:
"Unable to find c:\rep\circle\os\util.s"
"Unable to find c:\rep\circle\os\circle.h"
"Unable to find c:\rep\circle\os\circlestartup.h"
when first loading the project it compiles fine.

ride is from primer2 cd.
any suggestions?

BTW: when I flash CircleOS 3.3 with RFlasher, the primer hangs. power it off and on again leads to a white screen, nothing more. this is same problem for circleos 2.0 and up. citcleos 1.7 works.

This is probably because the project has been saved with some files opened in the editor. Just ignore these messages.
We check the rest...
To program the hex file download stm32-primer2.zip in the Resources|Primer2 section.
We will publish later today a note 'how to upgrade'...

I tried, and it works here..
BTW, we updated CicleOS3.3 (same versioning) after optimizing the map (to leave room for the MAP). The ZIP file has been replaced today.

aehm, there is no 'stm32-primer2.zip' in the Resources|Primer2 section ...

it looks like the rlink has died on my primer2. I get error 303 "Unabel to read IdCode", sometimes 304. the primer2 is running (circleos 3.2 - factory default) but i cannot flash it anymore. maybe primer3 will be more stable - and hopefully come with a jtag adapter.

Anyway, this does not solve the problem with the sourcecode, that is not building a working circleos, neither for primer2 nor primer1.

So I consider this "update" is a workaround and not a solution but the solution is soon to come, isn't it?

Perhaps you are trying to configured your software for JTAG instead of SWD ? JTAG is not available on Primer2 because the pins are used for I2S (connection to the audio chip).

Hi,

The error message "Unable to read IdCode" comes when the software is able to communicate with the RLink, the RLink detects the target STM32 power, but the RLink is unable to communicate with the STM32 in JTAG or SWD.

Do you manage to read the RLink Serial Number? (just to confirm that the RLink is running)

Hi,

Also, the specific error message you reported only comes when the software is in JTAG. (it is a little defferent in SWD)

The Primer2 can only work in SWD, not in JTAG. Please check that you have selected SWD in the Ride or RFlasher options.

Primer 2: Sorry to say, but i did not only get these errors when I tried to flash from RIDE. I tried also to reset the primer with Restore_Primer2_Circle_Factory.bat, and the errors were was the same. Before this I could read the serial number, but it also somtimes failed (1 out of 10). When it failed, I had to power off the primer (unplug USB, remove jumper).

Primer 1: I still get this error when I try to compile CircleOS 3.3:

Can you please open Ride or RFlasher, click "help"/"About" and tell us the versions of the Ride7 and ARM kits installed on your PC?

i installed them from primer2 cd, it says:

ride7 ide 7.15.0000
rkit-arm for ride7 1.14.0811

Any news on how to build Circle 3.3 for Primer1 ? I still search for a workaround for the linker error....

Just ignore (or remove) the hello application in the Circle-Primer1 project.
