Hi,
I bet I've missed a step somewhere, but can someone tell me how, when working my way through SMT32-CircleOS Tutorial, I can stop the Promer 2 from wanting to shut down all the time?

This is a 'feature: when you don't launch any menu/application.... Primer2 will shut down after one minute (perhaps 2?) to save the battery. But it is not supposed to shutdown while an application is running. Let me know if it is the case.

Hi Francis (Aren't you allowed any time off by the way?)
I've disconnected the battery as recommended, then pressing the orange button it turns on as expected. Then it asks for the two buttons to be pressed, followed by calibration done, press the screen message. Then promptly starts to shut down! Roughly 27secs from start to finish.
If I'm debugging it is the same.

I send you the beta release by email too. It could help you (I don't see waht could be the cause of the shutting down).

The Primer2 automatically shuts down when the battery is very low. We do that because we must take care of always keeping a minimum of power within a Li-Ion battery.
Please try to recharge the battery, then try again. Thanks.

I did this as it in your tutorial, but as you have said, it was written for PRIMER1.

Yes... the nmanagement of the battery in Primer1 was not so good. Primer2 embeds a smart charger, and you don't need to remove the jumper. Anyway, it seems to be a bug (CircleOS should distinguish between 'no battery' and 'low battery'). We are modifying the tutorial to take into account all the 'small details' between Primer1 and Primer2.

Hmm.. seems that my battery is completly dead. When I plug in the usb, the red led lights up for about 75 seconds, then green for 1 second and then red and green at the same time. Voltage level of the battery is about 3.7v so that should be ok.

The led behaviour is the same when I remove the jumper...

'red and green' mean that the battery is not present (or dead). At the moment, we never saw any dead battery. The battery charger used to work very well.
But 3.7V means that the battery is alive...

When you plug USB, a normal beviour is:
1. red light on (the battery recharger starts a new 'recharging process'
2. after 1-2 mn, we have a new state:
a. green+red (no battery)
b. red only (recharging is required)
c. green only (battery was already full).

Hmm.. i'll check with the scope what's going on.

Currently, I can only power up the Primer2 with the USB cable connected
