External 40MS/s ADC to GPIO-DMA. Possible?

Hi,

I am not familiar with the cortex M3, but have recently started looking into using it (and specifically the STM32 series)
for an application that among other things, requires an external ADC and DAC both running at 40MS/s.

So far I haven't found anything that tells me that I wont be able to get the dma via gpio to interface to the external peripherals at that speed, but just in case I thought I would ask here to see if anyone has any thoughts.

Any and all thoughts/questions about this will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Mike.

The DMA can be used with the FSMC (external bus controller) that is present in the STM32 'high density'. It is used with the new Primer2 to send images to the screen.

Whats the top bandwidth of the dma? Could I get it running at 40MHz x 1 byte?
