Hey jingxizhang I really liked your project and wanted to modify it to work with an ECG that I built on a protoboard. The interface I am using is a serial to usb cable that is recognized as a COM port rather than a HID. I have the VID and PID for the serial to usb cable. Do you know how I might modify the HIDDevice.cs file so it searches the COM port section as well as the HID section? To be honest I'm not sure if doing so would even work. My other thought is to modify the ECGDevice class so that it will handle the System.IO.Ports.Serial class.
After reading about some problems that people have had with the serial to usb cables being recognized as a HID I'm also wondering if it would be possible to configure my computer so that it recognizes my serial to usb cable as a HID.
Any input or help on this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
