"Build failed": But it didn't!

I'm new to this...  I spend a few hours trying to get RLink working on my Vista-64 machine and gave up...  Now, I'm working with a WindowsXP laptop.

I've installed from the CD that came with the STM32Primer and the latest CD image.  Everything looks OK until I build...

I always get a "Build failed" message at the bottom of the build log...  But, it does actually generate a new .o file and I can run "add_to_circle.bat" and load it up on the device.

Any idea what's going on?

Here's an example build log:

Code:

Re: "Build failed": But it didn't!

Can you open a command prompt and copy/paste the last line executed, i.e.

Code:

"C:\Program Files\Raisonance\Ride\Bin\dwf2xml.exe" "C:\Raisonance\toggle_with_CircleOS\toggle_with_CircleOS.dbi" "C:\Raisonance\toggle_with_CircleOS\toggle_with_CircleOS-globals.Circle_Debug.xml" "C:\Raisonance\toggle_with_CircleOS\toggle_with_CircleOS.Circle_Debug.xml"

and show me the output ?

Re: "Build failed": But it didn't!

Well, it's strange...  A Windows message box with title "dwf2xml.exe - Entry point not found"  pops up with this message:

The procedure entry point DllEntryPoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SX32W.dll.

Re: "Build failed": But it didn't!

I think this DLL has problems working with Vista 64bit. We will make some tests here.

In the meantime, the best thing to do is to comment out the dwf2xml step (it is only needed to create the list of globals so I bet you can live without it wink ). you can save the following file:

ftp://www.raisonance.com/pub/forum/stm3 … /LD.config

into "C:\Program Files\Raisonance\Ride\config\ARM" and that should do the trick.

$1

Re: "Build failed": But it didn't!

Thanks! I'll try that.  This was with regular WindowsXP.  (I already gave up trying RLink with Vista-64).

Update:  I tried this and it worked.  Build now "suceeded".  Thanks!
