Is it OK to connect directly the DAC output pin to the ADC input pin?

I wanted to experiment with the stm32's ADC on Primer2 for which I am planning to use the onchip DAC as a signal generator. For this is it ok to connect directly the pins using a wire via the extension connector or do we require any current limiting resistor between the pins?

What I am trying to achieve is try out the stm32's DSP library to calculate the frequency of the signal then view & plot the data acquired by this way using a USB-HID application written in VC#.

Thanks,
Satish.

Hello,

Why not just put 470ohm or 1K in series, i believe it will give you any degration in performance, and if you do some stupid port settings it will not burn the port...
