Had to un-install CDROM 1.3 and restore 1.1 because 1.3 had the following basic problem;-

a) My 8K UART1 application would not program into flash from the IDE because with this version is was apparently 18K. Optimised for size (small).
b) The same application would not start programming into flash from the command prompt because the FAT could not be found. CircleOS1.7 had to be reloaded and the application compiled using a batch file from the command line.

I had updated the applications circle_api.h to match the OS and used the circle.hex and fat.hex from os\obj, and recompiled everything. Is there anything else that need be done? All works fine with CD 1.1.

Hi,

I think this is because the CircleOS 1.7 is not included in this CD-ROM. Can you try to install the CircleOS 1.7 and try again?

Hi Francis,
Thanks for the reply. appreciate it. I have already done copied the image unzipped it. but I cannot find any installation. All i find is three files.
Circle.elf
Circle.hex
Circle_Factory.hex
but there is no installation file as such for RIDE development tool chain......
Moreover, these files are in a format which I cannot open.

I am very new to this can u please guide me?
