STM CircleOS forum / question on project contents

Does a project have to be a functional device or can it be a demo of a new set of capabilities for the OS and/or for project use? I have several ideas in mind but a full blown product is a bit much for the time line given and potential reward.

Do you by 'Project' a contest project, or any project posted on this site?

In the scope of the contest, the rules say that it must use a Primer and the current version of CircleOS. If you wish to add functionalities to the OS, they would be very welcome but you will have (for the contest) to present them within a CircleOS application. After the contest, you could integrate them into CircleOS.
