Re: Unable to restore factory configuration

There are two different Primers: the Primer (known on this site as Primer1) and the Primer2. It could be that you use the wrong batch.
Try to get a recent update of the software (RIDE + RKit-ARM).

Re: Unable to restore factory configuration

I have a primer2. I loaded the new CD rom image and installed all the packages.
I have the same message as before except that address is 0x802000 instead of 0x806000
regards.

Re: Unable to restore factory configuration

I solved my issue. I was using the RFlash tool loading the Primer2_Circle_Factory.hex file and I was getting the error message at loading.
Instead I used the Restore_Prmer2_Circle_Factory.bat batch file and every thing went well.

Why I am not able to reinstall factory setting with RFlasher tool?

Re: Unable to restore factory configuration

Just received a Primer2 and noticed the CircleOS was an older version (3.6).  I downloaded the Primer2_Upgrade.zip package (on the evening of May 13) and proceeded to upgrade using the Restore_Primer2_Circle_Factory batch file.  It seemed to work with no errors, but the Primer2 doesn't work now.  It just has a blank back-lit screen.

I downloaded the zip file again today, did everything the same with the new download and still nothing works.

Did I miss anything, or is something wrong?

Craig.

Re: Unable to restore factory configuration

Further to my last post:

There seems to be something downloaded to the flash.  I ran circle_mgr with the L command and it listed several apps: Maze, Breakout, Play.wav, etc, 9 in all.  The last few lines of output looked like this:

App08: Name=Laby2D  , Addr:0X0801D800, Size: 4KB
           !!! Error 103:
App09: - invalid name -

Then it stops here and returns the command prompt.

Hope this helps.

Craig.

Re: Unable to restore factory configuration

Did you update your RIDE+RKitARM ? I suggest that you get the latest versions from the Raisonance website.

Re: Unable to restore factory configuration

Hi Francis,

I had the latest version of Ride but not RKitARM when I first tried to update CircleOS.  I downloaded RKitARM and installed it.  This time flashing the factory configuration worked.

Thanks,

Craig.
