Please review my STM32 Schematic w/ 14 pin JTAG

Please review my 14-pin JTAG connector pinout to STM32 for errors:

http://tmech.blogspot.com/2009/01/this- … 4-pin.html

I have no room on my PCB for a 20pin JTAG connector, so I plan to use the 14-pin adapter that comes with the Rlink, the pinout for the Rlink adapters is here:

This is my first STM32 custom pcb (I've made numerous for PIC's), and I don't want to screw it up and waste all my money on a coaster. I couldn't post a PDF or image here, but if you care I could email you the entire schematic.

Thanks!
Todd

Hi,

Of course we cannot guarantee anything based on a schematic.
However, your connections look fine. Congratulations for not falling in the TRST/RST trap.

If you are short in PCB space, (and if you don't JTAG-chain the STM32 with other JTAG devices) you might want to consider using SWD instead of JTAG. Then you can design a 5-wire adapter. (the details are on the same page you referenced)

Best Regards,

Vincent

Thanks Vincent, I just needed a little encouraging confidence boost. I'll post how the board turns out!
