STM CircleOS forum / CircleOS 1.7 & Restore_Circle_Factory.bat

I unpacked contents of CircleOS-1.7.zip and restore circle factory using Circle_Factory.hex. After that Circle OS is 1.4 not 1.7 and is older than installed from ARM Tools & RIDE7 from mini-CD ROM (Circle OS v1.5). Circle.hex is correct, 1.7. Why Circle_Factory.hex doesn't include OS v1.7 ? Please recompile it !

Hi,

If I understand correctly what you are saying, you tried to upgrade your Primer to CircleOS v1.7.
Unpacking the zip file should give you not only Restore_Circle_Factory.bat (which restores CircleOs as it was when you got it) but also Update_Circle_OS.bat which will update your Primer to set CircleOS 1.7.

Circle_Factory.hex is the image of the flash that was sent to manufacturers so it is the oldest version you can find !
The Update_Circle_OS.bat uses the Circle.hex file and does what you expect !

OK. I agree with you. Another choice can be a additional image file named ex. Circle_Apps.hex with the example applications and the 1.7 OS.

i know, but it is only pure CircleOS w/o any apps.
