Hi All,

I am new to the world of the STM32 prier, so this may be an easy question ?

BTW RTFM. or read the FAQ are OK, but links to the specific entires are better

I want to add a serail port to the STM32 Primer 2 using the expansion connector.

What voltages are the signals (3v3 5.0V or ... ) ?

Any suggestions/war stories for the ideal level shifter ?

All signals are 2.8V (primer2 VCC is 2V8) but i suppose all i/o to be 5V tolerant but i migth be wrong.

TXD RXD CTS RTS and GND signals are available at extension connector. Voltage range is 0V..2.8V but i can prove that it works fine with up to 3.0V.

Acroding to STM32F103VE datasheet those pins (PA0..PA3) are NOT 5V tolerant !!!

You can use ST3232 as RS232 convertor. Take a look at schematic in this user manul for detail.
